Blue Devils to open football season under the lights at Tulane

When it comes to the start of the 2015 season, the Duke football team has a long wait in front of it—even after game day finally arrives.

The American Athletic Conference announced a 9:30 p.m. kickoff for Duke's season opener at Tulane on Thursday, Sept. 3, according to an official release from Duke athletics.

Last year, the Blue Devils hosted the Green Wave in the fourth game of the season and won handily, 47-13, as a final tune-up before engaging in ACC play. This year's primetime event will set the stage for Duke's run at a fourth-straight bowl appearance.
