Bobby Petrino Has Great Respect For Clemson Football

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

As the Clemson football game against Louisville gets closer and closer, Cardinal coach Bobby Petrino is not giving the Tigers any locker room material.

We are inching closer and closer to kickoff in Death Valley.

In T-Minus two days, Clemson football will face the highest ranked team in the history of Memorial Stadium since Florida State in 2013.

Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino recalled his last trip to Death Valley and had nothing but nice things to say about the Clemson football stadium when he was asked about it earlier this week.

“Is that a trap question? Like a trap game last week. It’s a loud place,” Petrino said via Tigernet. “It’s a good environment. You know, I thought it was a great environment. It’s exciting. It’s fun. You know GameDay will be there, so it will be exciting for everybody. One of the things that after we played them at the end of the season that year anytime, I talked to a fan that traveled to the game they were very complimentary how well the people treated them and how the nice the people were to our fans that went to the game, so that’s one of the things that stuck out to me a lot.”

Louisville has been looking at Clemson football for much more time than just this week. As a matter of fact, this has been a highlighted game on the Cardinals’ schedule for quite some time.

Petrino only had high regards for this year’s Clemson football team and realizes that it will take a great effort to beat the Tigers on Saturday.
