Buckner, Johnstone named to Lombardi Award watch list

Oregon defensive end DeForest Buckner and offensive tackle Tyler Johnstone have been named to the 2015 Lombardi Award watch list.

The Lombardi Award is presented annually to the nation's top player who lines up no more than a few yards off of the line of scrimmage. Last season, Arizona's Scooby Wright took home the award.

Buckner, a senior, is Oregon's best defensive lineman and is likely to be a first-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Johnstone, also a senior, replaces Jake Fisher as Oregon's left tackle this upcoming season. He is coming off two knee injuries that have prevented him from playing since 2013.
