Byron Marshall on Michigan State game: 'I don't care if we play the Seahawks or we play a Pop Warner team'
Oregon senior WR Byron Marshall is familiar with the atmosphere of playing in a big game. After all, he's played in a national title game, a Rose Bowl and countless meaningful Pac-12 games.
When asked by The Oregonian about the ramifications of playing against a top-10 team, Marshall said he didn't much care who the Ducks were playing.
"Football is football, I just want to play. I don't care if we play the Seahawks or we play a Pop Warner team, it don't matter. It really doesn't. It's always cool to play in a bigger game, I guess, but no one's looking at it as like, 'Oh man, Michigan State, ranked top-five, top-10, whatever they are.' We don't care. We just want to go out there and play football."
However, Marshall did talk about the atmosphere he expects in East Lansing:
"I know it's going to be crazy. They've got a huge stadium, Big Ten, I mean I guess they're looking for revenge. We're just going out there to play another game and not worried about who we're playing or where we're playing at. We just want to go out there and ball."
When asked about being an underdog against Michigan State, Marshall responded, "Ah, I don't care. I guess they're ranked higher but who cares?"
