Can Georgia keep stud OL prospect E.J. Price at home?

New Georgia head coach Kirby Smart wants to make a splash with his first recruiting class in Athens.

Fortunately for Smart, he needs to look no further than in his backyard. A potential "crown jewel" within the 2016 group could be OL prospect E.J. Price.

The 6'6", 317-pound player hails from nearby Lawrenceville, Ga. With almost a week until signing day on Feb. 3, Price is still undecided on where he will eventually play his college ball.

Versatility is the name of the game for the hulking lineman. Although he could fit inside quite nicely as a guard in a run-heavy scheme, he's also athletic enough to kick outside at a tackle spot. Possessing both power and athleticism, Price is a premier offensive line prospect.

Price has officially visited USC, Michigan State, LSU, and Auburn. He's slated visit Georgia this upcoming weekend -- with Michigan and Alabama also sniffing around.

The hometown school has to like the fact it's getting Price's last visit. From a depth-chart standpoint, Auburn does offer some stiff competition. Both of its starting tackles from a season ago -- Avery Young and Shon Coleman -- have left early for the 2016 NFL Draft.

While it isn't an easy proposition to come in right away and start as a true freshman at any position, the vacancies along Auburn's front could be potentially attractive to Price.
