Cavs freshman QB held out of practice following DWI arrest

Published Aug. 13, 2015 3:51 p.m. ET

Virginia freshman quarterback Nick Johns has not been practicing with the team a result of his arrest for DWI on July 26, according to the Washington Post.

The QB reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of 0.14 at the time of his arrest.

“I am aware of Nick’s situation,” head coach Mike London said Monday. “He hasn’t participated and he has a court date Sept. 28. And other than that, it’s an internal matter and we’ll handle it that way.”
