CB Traveon Beck commits to Bears

Cornerback Traveon Beck, one of the best defensive backs in the region, has committed to the Cal Golden Bears.

Beck, who is 5'10" and 170 pounds, plays bigger than his size and has a high level of speed and cover skills.

As for why he committed to Cal, Beck had this to say:

"I've been to Cal a number of times and have a great comfort level there," said Beck, according to Scout.com's Greg Biggins. "It's a great academic school, No. 1 public university in the country and a degree from Cal can set you up for life. I know you can't play football forever so having that degree to fall back on is huge."
