Chattanooga rolls past Fordham 50-20 in FCS first-round

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) Jacob Huesman threw three touchdown passes and Chattanooga rolled to a 50-20 victory over Fordham in a FCS first-round playoff on Saturday.

Chattanooga (9-3) moves on to play No. 1 seed Jacksonville State (10-1) in the second round next Saturday.

Huesman was 17 of 25 for 211 yards with a 43-yard touchdown pass to C.J. Board, with 13 and 38-yard scoring strikes to James Stovall.

Richardre Bagley ran for a 40-yard touchdown, Lucas Webb had a 75-yard interception return for a touchdown, and the Mocs led 31-0 at halftime.

Webb's ninth career interception tied head coach Russ Huesman, who played for Chattanooga in 1978-1981.

The Mocs' Derrick Craine ran for 159 yards with a touchdown, and Dale Warren blocked a field goal attempt for a safety to stretch Chattanooga's lead to 43-14 early in the fourth quarter.

Kevin Anderson threw for 329 yards with three touchdown passes for Fordham (9-3).
