After holding on to top Notre Dame, 24-22, in a rain-soaked marquee matchup Saturday night in South Carolina, Clemson surged six spots to take the No. 6 ranking in the latest AP Top 25 Poll.

The Tigers (4-0) were previously ranked No. 12 and have now cracked the top-10 for the first time this season.

Notre Dame (4-1), who was ranked No. 12 last week, slid all the way back to No. 15.

After beating Wake Forest, 24-16, Florida State (4-0) held on to its No. 12 spot, which is one behind instate rival Florida (5-0). The Gators jumped 14 spots this week thanks to their thumping of No. 14 Ole Miss.

Duke clipped Boston College 9-7 over the weekend to edge closer to top 25 status. The Blue Devils (4-1) received 31 votes this week and are ranked No. 27.

Despite barely beating Indiana, Ohio State (5-0) held to the No. 1 spot and tied a record in the process. The Buckeyes joined Oklahoma as the only two schools to earn the No. 1 rankings 101 times in the history of the AP Poll.

Ohio State was trailed in the rankings by TCU (5-0) and Baylor (4-0), respectively.
