Published Jan. 13, 2016 3:02 p.m. ET

Shortly after Clemson junior defensive end Kevin Dodd declared for the NFL Draft, his teammate, junior safety T.J. Green, announced he will forgo his senior season and become draft eligible.

“After careful thought and consideration, I have decided to forgo my last year of eligibility at Clemson and enter the 2016 NFL Draft,” Green said in an Instagram post on Wednesday. “My dream has always been to play in the NFL, and I feel like Clemson has prepared me for that opportunity. I am ready to take the next step in pursuing that dream.”
