College Football Injury Report: Week 11
The College Football Season is coming into its final weeks. Here is a look at this week’s key injuries.
As we enter Week 11, this week’s key injuries bring an interesting twist. Two SEC teams have lost their starting quarterbacks for the season.
Things have gone from bad to worse for the Texas A&M Aggies. They’ve lost their starting quarterback for the season after falling to Mississippi State last week. They’ve got Ole Miss this week. But Ole Miss also lost their starting quarterback.
As the Cornhuskers recover from their devastating loss last week, their starting quarterback remains under the NCAA’s concussion protocol. His status remains uncertain as Nebraska face the Minnesota Gophers.

QB Tommy Armstrong Jr., Nebraska
Cornhuskers quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. is questionable this week after being knocked out of last week’s game. Armstrong Jr. was briefly unconscious before being carted off the field last week in their 62-3 loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The Cornhuskers have lost two Big Ten games in a row but still remain at nine in the AP Poll. They could be in trouble this week without their senior quarterback.
Armstrong Jr. didn’t practice Wednesday but has passed all medical tests so far under the NCAA’s concussion protocol. Team officials are hopeful he can play this week, otherwise quarterback Ryker Fyfe will start against the Minnesota Gophers (7-2).

FB Kamryn Pettway, Auburn
The Auburn Tigers could be without fullback Kamryn Pettway this week against Georgia, as he is questionable with a leg injury. Pettway got the injury in last week’s game against the Vanderbilt Commodores. He rushed 25 times for 173 times in the game.
Pettway leads the SEC in rushing yards with 1,106 rushing yards this season. The sophomore back is averaging 158 rushing yards per game and has seven rushing touchdowns on the season. He has ran for at least 100 rushing yards in the Tigers last four games.
The Tigers still have a healthy running back in Kerryon Johnson at their disposal. Johnson leads the team in rushing touchdowns with nine and has ran for 616 rushing yards.

QB Trevor Knight, Texas A&M
The Texas A&M Aggies lost Trevor Knight for the season due to a shoulder injury. It deals a huge blow to the Aggies offense as they are now without their offensive leader.
Knight hurt his throwing shoulder in the Aggies 35-28 upset loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The Aggies still rank 10 in the AP Poll but a loss to an unranked Mississippi State team exposed their lack of an offensive leader without Knight on the field.
The fifth-year senior has thrown 1,911 passing yards and 13 touchdowns along with 583 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns this season. He’ll be replaced by backup Jake Hubenak this week when they face Ole Miss.
With their playoff hopes dashed, they’ll mark Knight down for a potential return in their bowl game.

QB Chad Kelly, Ole Miss
The Ole Miss Rebels have lost senior quarterback Chad Kelly for the season due to a torn ACL. Kelly has had a rough go in his final season as Rebels quarterback. While he leads the SEC in passing yards, the Rebels are 4-5 on the season and 1-4 in conference play.
Kelly has thrown for 2,758 passing yards and 19 touchdowns after coming into this season with much promise as the SEC’s best quarterback.
The Rebels are far removed from the 11th ranking they boasted in preseason play. They will rely on the arm of backup quarterback Jason Pellerin this week against Texas A&M. They have lost their last three SEC games.

RB Mike Weber, Ohio State
Ohio State Buckeyes running back Mike Weber is probable this week against Maryland with a sprained shoulder. Weber hurt his shoulder in last week’s 62-3 victory over Nebraska last week but is expected to play this week. He’s been diagnosed with a sprained AC joint.
The freshman running back had 72 rushing yards and a touchdown before his injury. He has run for 842 rushing yards and seven touchdowns this season. If he is unable to give it a go this week, running back duties will be given to Curtis Samuel. He’s rushed for 599 yards and scored five touchdowns as the backup so far this season.
