Cook-Burbridge battery sweeps Big Ten aerial awards for Michigan State

Published Dec. 1, 2015 8:15 p.m. ET

Connor Cook and Aaron Burbridge were a nearly unstoppable duo for Michigan State all season, so it made sense they took home two major awards on the same night.

Cook was named the Big Ten Quarterback of the Year on Tuesday night while Burbridge was picked as the league's best receiver.

Cook finished third in the league in passing yards at 248.2 per game and second in pass efficiency. He threw 24 touchdown passes and four interceptions in 11 regular-season games.

Burbridge topped the conference in receptions (75) and yards (1,158) while hauling in seven scoring passes.

Cook and Burbridge also both made the All-Big Ten first team along with offensive linemen Jack Conklin and Jack Allen.
