Cornerbacks coming along for Hoosiers

Cornerback was among the question marks heading into the spring at Indiana, but position coach Brandon Shelby told reporters he has seen play from that position on the upswing as the spring practice winds down in Bloomington.

In remarks shared by the IU Sports Information department, Shelby identified sophomore Noel Padmore as a player who has had a good spring while also praising sophomores Ben Bach and Rashard Fant.

"So far, I think we could always improve, but I'm not going to complain," Shelby said.

Also in the running for a big role this spring is Kenny Mullen, a fifth-year senior who missed the last nine games of the season after suffering a torn ACL. He played nickel back and special teams in 2013.
