Cougars balance learning from Michigan game and moving on

BYU clearly has some lessons to learn after getting throttled 31-0 at The Big House, but at the same time, it can be an unhealthy mentality to dwell on tough losses for too long. The Cougars are working on balancing both of those sentiments moving forward.

Consider receiver Terren Houk as one of the guys who's ready to move on.

“I’m ready to just move past it, to be honest,” Houk said. “There’s stuff we can learn from it, but our coaches watched all the film already and they told us what we had to hear. Now it’s just about executing and getting ready for UConn.”

Bronco Mendenhall, meanwhile, know he has a lot to fix with his team before he can start looking ahead to UConn.

“I haven’t watched a single play yet,” Mendenhall said. “I’ve spent every minute up to this meeting right now only working on us. All I’ve been doing the entire morning is working on ourselves.”

BYU fell out of the AP Top 25 Poll on Sunday.
