Cougars QB Tanner Mangum returns from LDS mission

BYU added some much-needed depth at the quarterback position, as Tanner Mangum recently returned home from his LDS mission in Antofagasta, Chile.

With starting quarterback Taysom Hill recovering from a broken leg, the Cougars were shorthanded at the QB position this spring and had trouble finding enough passers to hold practice. BYU was so thing at quarterback it was forced to call former QB Christian Stewart to help with reps.

The 6-3, 195-pound Mangum was a top prospect in the class of 2011 and will bring some stability to the quarterback position for BYU come fall camp.
