Could a former Kentucky QB be an answer to Louisville football's prayers?
Could a transfer quarterback from the University of Kentucky be the start of Louisville football’s season turning back around?
You’re probably wondering what the heck I am talking about, but I’ll make that clear in a minute. The Boston College Eagles are hosting the third ranked Clemson Tigers this Friday night at 7:30pm on ESPN. If the Eagles can upset the Tigers, then it will make things very interesting in the ACC and for the Louisville football team the rest of the year.
Louisville needs Clemson to lose a minimum of two games this season if they want to play in the ACC Championship game. With the Florida State game still looming for the Tigers, a loss to anyone else could prove costly.
Therefore, could a former Kentucky quarterback be the answer to Louisville’s prayers? Thats’ right, I’m talking about transfer quarterback and beloved Louisville smack-talker, Patrick Towles.

This Friday night will be the first time that Louisville football fans will be rooting for Mr. Towles as he looks to take down the 3rd ranked team in the nation. He has actually found a good fit with Boston College as they sit at 3-2 on the year.
The Eagles have wins against Buffalo, Wagner, and UMASS. However, they have lost to Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech. Those darn technical schools will get you.
It’s still a long shot that Boston College will beat Clemson, but at least Towles has had a decent year to give us a little encouragement. He has thrown for 806 yards and six touchdowns, while rushing for 174 yards and three touchdowns. He isn’t quite Lamar Jackson, but maybe he will be on Friday night.
Here’s to hoping the 6-foot-5 and 253 pound QB can give the Tigers their first loss of the season!
