Could Jim Mora and the UCLA Bruins luck out with a big-time last-minute addition?

Texas running back Brandon Stephens had been a longtime pledge to Stanford. He chose the Cardinal initially over offers from Alabama, Iowa, Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Wisconsin (among others). However, he opened up his recruitment with less than two weeks until signing day.

With respective recruiting classes filling up, it wasn't certain as to which schools had room for Stephens. However, it appears as if UCLA will welcome the talented runner with open arms.

Stephens met with Mora and offensive coordinator Kennedy Polamalu on Tuesday. It resulted in Stephens agreeing to visit UCLA officially this upcoming weekend.

The Plano, Tex. native has a skill set in line with how the Bruins want to transition offensively. With Polamalu and new quarterbacks coach Marques Tuiasosopo in tow, UCLA wants to implement a more physical, pro-style offensive scheme. Stephens' downhill, one-cut-and-go style of running fits this premise perfectly.
