Crimson Tide vs USC: Jalen Hurts First Collegiate Career TD Pass (Video)
Crimson Tide quarterback and true freshman Jalen Hurts throws the first of many touchdown passes for the Crimson Tide.
Did the Crimson Tide possibly find their quarterback?
Coach Nick Saban made the call at the beginning of the game to go with Blake Barnett as the Crimson Tide’s signal caller against USC.
With the offense sputtering to begin the game as well as Barnett possibly being roughed up in the first series (nothing official), Saban turned to the true freshman with the Tide trailing the Trojans 3-0.

Hurts also got off to a shaky start as well, fumbling the first snap he was in for during the game. It didn’t take him all that long to settle down either.
With each drive he came in on, you could see him settling down a bit more with each snap.
With 7:46 to go in the second half, Hurts got his first home-run ball for the Crimson Tide in action that counts. Ardarius Stewart was on the receiving end of the touchdown pass, hauling in the 39-yard pass for a touchdown to give Alabama the 7-3 lead over the Trojans.

Just think. That’s a true freshman. He’s got quite a few years ahead of him in Tuscaloosa to lead the Crimson Tide. That noise you hear is trembling from other fans in the SEC.
The puns that can come out of this are endless and personally, I can’t wait to hear them all.
