Dak Prescott wins the 2015 Senior CLASS Award
Mississippi State senior quarterback Dak Prescott has another award to add to the growing list of accolades accomplished during his time in Starkville, as the Bulldog leader was named as the 2015 Senior CLASS Award winner Tuesday. An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the award is given annually to the most outstanding senior student-athlete in Division I football.

Prescott turned down an opportunity to be selected in the 2015 NFL Draft to return to school to get his masters degree and help guide Mississippi State to an 8-4 record.
"I tried-to the best of my ability-to represent our football team in a first-class manner in everything I did, and I am thankful for receiving the Senior CLASS Award because it embodies more than just on-field performance," Prescott said after winning the award. "I have always taken pride in being active in our community my entire career. There is a special relationship with Starkville and our football team, and I feel my teammates and I have played an important role in shaping that."
Having watched the maturation of his quarterback, Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen knows his star pupil was the best choice for the award.
"Class is something that has epitomized Dak Prescott's entire career," said Mullen. "He's been a tremendous ambassador for our university and football team, and I am proud of him capturing the Senior CLASS Award. Whether it was his work in the community or his leadership on the field, Dak has raised the standard of excellence at Mississippi State."
Prescott finished the 2015 season with 3,413 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns to only four interceptions and added 541 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground for Mississippi State.
