Dantonio wants basketball environment for spring game

Michigan State has already started following the lead of the Spartan basketball team's success between the lines.

Now Mark Dantonio wants to see some of the craziness and enthusiasm often associated with college basketball home crowds -- the Izzone in East Lansing -- when carried over to the stands during the Green and White Game this weekend.

"We have great fan support, we have a great following in Spartan nation, we have great administrative support," Dantonio said said on the Spartan Sports Radio Network per MLive.com. "It's just the way it is, but we want to continue to try and build on that a little bit more. You're always trying to take your program further."

The head coach of the Spartans has started the process of uniting fans and players with a couple of clinics already this spring, and it will continue Saturday when more than 500 students will be invited onto the field Saturday.
