Wommack’s defense has been one of the worst in the conference, as well as the nation this season.
Ever since that legendary 2014 defense, the Ole Miss defense has struggled mightily.
Fans have been calling for Wommack’s head all season, especially after the defense has cost the Rebels multiple wins this season.
Ole Miss will begin the search for a new defensive coordinator after today’s egg bowl concludes.
Wommack is the only defensive coordinator that Hugh Freeze has had in his four years at Ole Miss.
