It was the question Stanford head coach David Shaw knew was coming: What are your thoughts on Jim Harbaugh heading back to college football?

More specifically, Shaw was asked at Pac-12 Media Days if he thought Harbaugh's return to college football was a good thing.

"I don’t know if its good or not; I know it’s not boring [laughs]. I think he brings an energy and enthusiasm to everything he does that’s fun to watch," he said. "He’s revitalized a fan base. It’s going to be fun watching him on the sidelines against ... Michigan State, rekindling those rivalries. Because when it’s all said and done, Jim Harbaugh bleeds Michigan blue. He’s a Michigan man, through and through. He wants to restore that team to its past glory."

Shaw also added, "There are going to be some fireworks along the way.”

When asked if Michigan will succeed under Harbaugh, Shaw said, "They’re going to win, I have no doubts about it."

Based on the fact that Shaw spent five years under Harbaugh at the University of San Diego and Stanford, we'll have to take his word for it.
