Defense rules with Patterson, TCU

There are all sorts of reasons for TCU's success.

Mostly, it's coach Gary Patterson.

In a recent post from Grantland.com, the website takes a look at Patterson, where he came from and how he built the Horned Frogs into a front-runner for the 2015 national title.

However, a large part of the piece explains TCU's 4-2-5 defense in specific detail.

"I do not believe the 4-2-5 defense is the best defense ever made,” Patterson at the coaching clinic in 2011, according to Grantland. “The bottom line is this: Does your defense fit your personnel, and can you fix that defense? When you are in a game and the offense causes you a problem, do you have the answer so you can correct the problem?”
