Deion Sanders lands top cornerback as 5-star flips to Colorado
Deion Sanders continues to make an impact on the recruiting trail at Colorado.
On Thursday, Coach Prime made his latest splash, flipping five-star cornerback Cormani McClain from Miami.
McClain, an athlete from Lakeland, Florida who announced his decision on Thursday, had been committed to Miami since October. He was the No. 1-rated cornerback in his class, according to 247 Sports. He is also ranked as the No. 13 overall prospect by 247, No. 10 overall by On3 and No. 4 overall by ESPN. In addition to Miami, McClain also had scholarship offers from Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and many others.

This is Sanders' first five-star recruit as Colorado coach, though he also landed last year's top cornerback — five-star Travis Hunter — while at Jackson State, and Hunter followed Sanders to Colorado.
247 currently ranks Colorado's 2023 recruiting class as the 29th-best in the nation, fifth-best in the Pac-12. When you include transfers, Colorado ranks 19th overall and third in the Pac-12.
