Doctson will see a specialist for his wrist, but news might be good
Josh Doctson is expected to have his wrist examined by a specialist yet is probable to play in Saturday's game against Kansas, TCU coach Gary Patterson said Tuesday during his weekly press conference.
The Horned Frogs' top receiver, who leads the nation in receiving yards, left last week's game at Oklahoma State in the second quarter after a defender landed on his wrist. TCU suffered its first loss of the season in the 49-29 defeat. Patterson reported Tuesday that Doctson was feeling better and would see a specialist Tuesday night.
On the season, Doctson has 78 catches for 1,315 yards and 14 touchdowns. He is TCU's career leader for receiving yardage and touchdowns and needs only two catches to break the school record of 181 career receptions.
