Don't ask Utah who's the better barber among tight ends
When it comes to a good barber, every guy knows it's key to be loyal.
Which is why when you ask Utah players who gives the better haircut -- Evan Moeai or Siale Fakailoatonga -- no one cuts to a straight answer.
Kyle Goon over at the Salt Lake Tribune ventured to find out, but no one budged. Still, it's interesting to know that when it comes to a good fade, the Utes are covered in more ways than one.
"Utah's tight ends aren't just catching fades," Goon writes. "They're giving them, too. The barber shop at Utah's football facility is put to good use by Fakailoatonga and Moeai, who just happen to also be the Utes' top two tight ends. They're also both pretty nifty with clippers, dating back to their high school days -- a fact they discovered when they started to room together during away games."
The two tight ends are competing for a starting role while also handling school work and a social life. But their talents with clippers has landed them another kind of work load, even if the money isn't exactly rolling in.
"Moeai estimates his average workload is between five to 10 haircuts per week," Goon reports. "Wait list gets long, and the team's unofficial barbers squeeze in cuts when they can amid school, practice and sleep.
"Prices for a cut vary: $5. $10 if you've got it. Lunch. A favor. Really, money is not the goal."
But looking fresh certainly is.
