Ducks get bang for their buck with Helfrich

Published Jun. 10, 2015 4:57 p.m. ET

The Oregon Ducks thrive on efficiency and getting the most out of every player on their roster. It's one of the reasons why they've been one of the best teams in college football for the past decade.

Well, the Ducks are also getting the most out of their money, as their head coach Mark Helfrich was paid only $153,846 per win, according to CBS Sports.

Chip Patterson of CBS Sports had this to say about Helfrich's value:

"Oregon's Mark Helfrich was an absolute steal at $153,846 per win in 2014. After a 24-4 start to his head coaching career, it was no surprise to see Helfrich's annual salary boosted from $2 million to an average of $3.5 million per year as part of a new five-year deal announced earlier this year."
