Ducks impressed with Washington's stout defense

Washington's defense has proven time and time again this season that it is one of the best units in the Pac-12 conference. In fact, the Huskies lead the Pac-12 in points allowed per game (15) and yards per game (326).

Oregon's coaches and players are both equally impressed by what they've seen on film.

“I think they are exceptionally well-coached on defense,” UO offensive coordinator Scott Frost said Monday. “They are sound and you can tell on the field that they know what they are doing. They play with great technique.”

Oregon QB Jeff Lockie, who may start against Washington, knows he's in for a challenge against UW.

“They can play, that’s for sure,” he said. “I think they have proven that all year. No matter what they are doing, they play hard on defense and execute so that is a good challenge for our offense.”

Washington takes on Oregon at 7:30 PM on Saturday night in Seattle.
