Duke's Jamison Crowder hopes to be a 'great steal' in NFL draft

Published May. 1, 2015 8:34 a.m. ET

After watching his former teammate, guard Laken Tomlinson, go in the first round of the 2015 NFL draft to the Detroit Lions at No. 28 overall, Duke product Jamison Crowder waits his turn. The 5-foot-8 receiver knows he won't come with the same hype as Tomlinson, but that doesn't mean he can't make some pro team very happy.

Crowder has heard plenty of whispers and rumors about his potential as a mid-round draft prospect.

"That means that I've caught some people's eye," he told WRAL Sports Fan. "That I can be a great steal or a great fit for certain teams."

Aside from shifty feet and sure hands, the ACC's all-time leading pass-catcher turns to his work ethic and character as major selling points.
