Seawolves head coach Chuck Priore said he was excited to have Alston on his team.

“With the addition of Sherman we have increased our big play capabilities on offense,” Priore said in a statement. “He is a player that can play numerous roles on offense and be a big impact on special teams.”

For his career, Alston has returned 38 punts and has an 8.1 yards per return average.
