Elite RB prospect, son of Evander Holyfield, committing Friday

Being the son of a former heavy weight champion boxer, you might assume Elijah Holyfield would seek glory in the boxing ring, but you'd be wrong. The Georgia native is one of the most coveted running back prospects in the nation and has trimmed his list down to his final five.

Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee all await the final decision of Holyfield, who has scheduled an announcement date of Friday, Sept. 4 to make his commitment public.

Holyfield is currently ranked as a four-star prospect by 247Sports and has scholarship offers from nearly every program in major college football. Will Holyfield become the next great back at Georgia, Auburn or Alabama, or will he play for Tennessee and South Carolina and start a new tradition of running back excellence either SEC school?
