ESPN Bowl Announcement Time and Schedule
Today is the day college football fans! The playoff committee is convening and soon bowl eligible teams will be finding out their postseason destinations.
The regular season of college football is officially over and the conference champions have been decided. All that is left to do now is find out what it was all for. Some teams will be disappointed and others will have hopes of a National Title. Either way, we find out today.
Although Arkansas may not be a team that has any chance for a spot in the top four teams to play for the championship, they do have big news coming. In my bowl projection piece here, I detail exactly why and where the Hogs will be going to one of three bowls.
This will be the third year straight Arkansas has had postseason action. In 2014, the Razorbacks beat Texas in the Advocare Texas Bowl and in 2015 it was the drudging of Kansas State in the Liberty bowl. Hopefully, the Hogs continue the bowl win streak. I personally am nervous but hey, I am happy we made it to a bowl in the first place.
ESPN will begin coverage of all the bowl announcements at 11:00 a.m. with the “College Football Playoff: Top 25 Selection”. This will last until about 3 p.m. At about 11:30, the semi-final bowls will be announced followed by the other four bowls of the New Years Six. Then the final top 25 rankings will be announced. Then from 3-5 pm ESPNU will have the “Championship Drive: Bowl Selection Show Presented by Capital One”.
From there, more analysis and conversation will be on ESPN2 5-7:30 with “Who’s In Presented by Chick-fil-A”. Finally, for us in the greatest conference in the land, the SEC Network will be doing the “SEC Now: Bowl Special” running from 5-7 p.m.
Razorbackers will be in it for the whole day with reactions, video, and live updates on twitter. For live updates, news, and hot takes, all day, follow @RazorbackersFS, @ChrisJacksonWPS, @Tyzilla83 and for those scorching hot takes, @MCFansided. Woo Pig!
