ESPN College GameDay Crew Unanimously Picks Texas A&M Aggies Over Tennessee Vols

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, David Pollack, Desmond Howard, and The Chainsmokers all picked the Aggies over the Tennessee Volunteers on ESPN College GameDay.

It looks like Tennessee is against the world. With College GameDay back for its third Tennessee football game of the year, the entire crew picked the Texas A&M Aggies to win the game.

Pollack predicted A&M early, noting that he thinks this year they are legitimate, unlike the previous two years. He added that the home-field advantage favors them significantly in a battle between two elite pass-rush defenses.

Meanwhile, Desmond Howard seems to have hated Tennessee all along. He insists they’ve been lucky the whole time because of one Hail Mary play and the fumble against Appalachian State, blatantly ignoring the other three wins. Howard did say that Tennessee is a dangerous team. But he added that this game won’t even be close. Here was his disrespectful quote:

“Their luck runs out.”

After Howard, the EDM Group The Chainsmokers were on the set. They ripped out Texas A&M shirts and shouted “Gig Em!” when it was time for their picks.

Of course, Texas A&M and The Chainsmokers are both sponsored by Adidas. Based on how they made all their other picks, and because they were in front of the home crowd, that made it logical for them to pick the Aggies.

Kirk Herbstreit also picked Texas A&M.

And Lee Corso, for the third straight College GameDay pick involving Tennessee, pulled out a dog. But it wasn’t Smokey. And it wasn’t Reveille IX, A&M’s mascot. Instead, since Reveille couldn’t make it, Corso pulled out another Collie in his place.

He picked the Aggies in the process.

So nobody on College GameDay has any love for the Vols this time. But to be fair, Howard has hated them all year, and Kirk has made sense with his picks.

But maybe having the entire world against them when they’re 5-0 could work in their favor. They’ll have the chance to prove it.
