Ex-Miami players vent over 'Canes' historic loss: 'So embarrassing'
The Miami Hurricanes' football program has a rich and illustrious tradition, both in terms of winning at a high level and also in terms of sending players to the NFL.
Saturday's 58-0 loss to Clemson did not display any proud tradition whatsoever. It was the worst loss in school history.
Several former players took to Twitter to voice their concerns over the program and its head coach, Al Golden.
Former offensive lineman Leon Searcy was particularly salty throughout the game. He was an 11-year player in the NFL, and was a part of three national championship teams.

This Saturday marked the first Miami game former linebacker Jonathan Vilma's daughter saw in person. It's safe to say she didn't have a great time.

Former defensive linemen Warren Sapp and Allen Bailey, center Brett Romberg and offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson weren't fans of what transpired on the field, either.
Why is Al the only coach on our sidelines without the U on Him? #SomebodyHelpMeWithThis

Former star running back Clinton Portis also appeared to tweet a bit of satire when speaking about Golden.
Hopefully I can make it down in time to shake @GoldenAl hand and tell him good luck @univmiami @ABCNetwork . ??.. Enjoy ?⛷?????????????????

Former offensive lineman Bryant McKinnie spoke about the lack of involvement when it comes to famous alumni, and how they should be a part of the program.
And the fallout wasn't limited to the NFL world. U.S. Rep. Carlos Curbelo, of Florida’s 26th congressional district, got in on the act, too:
A new low for @CanesFootball - an absolute embarrassment for what was once a great program. Anyone at @univmiami care to try to save it?
