Exciting young QBs lead Oklahoma State, Texas into Big 12 opener

Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph was expected to be a good quarterback this season. But after failing to win the starting job out of camp, Texas redshirt freshman Jerrod Heard was a question mark.

It's a tad early to anoint Heard as Texas' savior, but he broke Vince Young's all-time record for offense in a single game against Cal. Rudolph has been efficient for Oklahoma State, but he may have to try for some more explosive plays against the Longhorns.
