Five from FCS named to East-West Shrine Game

(STATS) - The East-West Shrine Game has announced North Dakota State's Joe Haeg, Northern Iowa's Deiondre' Hall, South Carolina State's Javon Hargrave and Southern Utah teammates James Cowser and LeShaun Sims as the first FCS players to accept invitations to the Jan. 23 all-star classic.

Haeg is an offensive tackle, while the other four are defensive players - Hall and Sims at cornerback, Hargrave at tackle and Cowser at end. Haeg is a finalist for STATS FCS Offensive Player of the Year, while Hall, Hargrave and Cowser are finalists for STATS FCS Defensive Player of the Year.

The East-West Shrine Game, in its 91st year as the nation's first college football all-star game, has announced 35 of about 100 participants in the game.

It will be played at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
