Thursday night was huge in the world of Clemson recruiting. The Tigers landed the top prospect in the entire 2018 recruiting class in quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

This is a huge get for the Tigers not only because of Trevor Lawrence’s immense talent, but, it also shows how strong Clemson’s brand is nationally. Georgia is not an easy state to recruit out of, especially since Kirby Smart took over in Athens. Dabo Swinney and his staff continue to flex their recruiting muscles in the south.
Do yourself a favor and go watch this kids highlights. Lawrence has all of the tools you are looking for in a quarterback. He has the size at 6’6, nearly 200 pounds, arm strength, and he is athletic enough to get out of trouble in the pocket. Clemson continues to recruit the quarterback position at a high level. It will be interesting to see how 2017 QB commit, Hunter Johnson plays next season as this could impact the recruitment of Trevor Lawrence.
