Five-star DT prospect Derrick Brown narrows his list to five SEC schools
After receiving scholarship offers from nearly every major football program in the country, Derrick Brown is finally ready to concentrate on his five finalists.
Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State and Tennessee were the fortunate five to make the five-star prospect's final list, which was announced Thursday. The Buford, Ga., native is currently ranked as the No. 1 prospect in the state of Georgia and a top five prospect overall by 247Sports.
This season, Brown has unofficially visited Athens for the Georgia, Alabama game and was in Knoxville to witness Tennessee's comeback victory over the Bulldogs. Brown apparently came away quite impressed with his visit to Rocky Top and the incredible noise created by the crowd:

Brown has yet to schedule any of his official visits but at this time plans to visit Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee in January following the New Year's dead period of recruiting.
