Five-star QB recruit Josh Rosen signs with UCLA, to enroll this winter
UCLA has signed Josh Rosen, a five-star QB recruit in the Class of 2015, Bruins coach Jim Mora announced on Monday.
Rosen will begin classes in Westwood during the winter quarter after he graduates from high school in December.
He's currently leading the football team at St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Californa), which is ranked No. 1 in the country by USA Today.
Since the Bruins have officially signed Rosen, this allows them more flexibility in communication with him than they would normally be allowed under NCAA rules.
However, if Rosen opted not to enroll at UCLA and sign with another school -- an option available to him, while the school is bound to the player -- then any excess communication UCLA has with Rosen would be considered secondary violations.
