Flood excited about new Rutgers facilities plan

Not surprisingly, the football coach at Rutgers is happy to finally be able to look forward to having a facility his team will no longer have to share with the golf, lacrosse, soccer and tennis Scarlet Knights when recently announced renovations to the Hale Center are completed.

"I think the opportunity to have this space and upgrade, that's what's going to make the facility really more functional and better for all the student-athletes that are in there ," Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood told NJ.com

"We're going to gain a significant amount of space and we're going to gain enough space in that building that's going to allow us to really build a first-class or a best-in-class facility for college football."

Among the upgrades and additions planned for the Hale Center renovation are a new entryway, new student lounge and new training and hydro therapy suite as well as additional room for academic services, meeting rooms and coaches' offices.
