Florida adds top Virginia Tech assistant coach to staff
As many have said before, "there's no place like home."
A longtime defensive backs coach at Virginia Tech under Frank Beamer, Torrian Gray has left Hokie Nation in order to coach under Florida head coach Jim McElwain.

Gray had been in Blacksburg for the past 10 seasons. Prior to that. the Va Tech alum coached with the Chicago Bears, and played two years in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings.
Simply put, this is a potentially very big addition for McElwain's staff. Gray has a history of coaching up defensive backs quite well. Virginia Tech's pass defense routinely ranked in the top half of the ACC -- if not at the very top.
A native of Bartow, Fla., Gray also has a vast network of high school connections from which he can recruit from.
