Florida Gators Football: Sophomore RB Jordan Cronkrite To Transfer
Sophomore running back Jordan Cronkrite will transfer from the Florida Gators. This confirms a rumor that presented itself earlier in the 2016 season.
So now it is official. Former four-star running back Jordan Cronkrite will transfer from the Florida Gators. The sophomore had found himself between a rock and a hard place in Gainesville. He was sitting behind fellow sophomore Jordan Scarlett and freshman LaMical Perine, as well as competing for reps with Junior Mark Thompson.
Ryan Bartow of 247Sports was the first to report the news.

In limited play this season, Cronkrite rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown on 31 carries.
Cronkrite definitely isn’t an easy loss, per se, but it was a position of current luxury for the Gators. You would always like depth, but having four players with possible NFL talent at a position like running back is always going to leave someone unhappy.
On top of the backs on the depth chart already ahead of him, the Gators have four-star running backMalik Davis currently committed and are still hoping Adarius Lemons can qualify academically.
Cronkrite is the third player to request and who will transfer from the Gators in the 2016 season. Wide receiver Ryan Sousa and quarterback turned wide receiver Treon Harris will or have also transferred from the program this year.
No word on where Cronkrite could possibly end up, but he will most likely have an immediate impact when he is once again eligible. As far as where Florida will allow him to transfer to, no restrictions have come out yet either.
With the season’s end nearing and National Signing Day in the distance, expect more of this type of news not just from Florida, but from many other schools. We wish Cronkrite the best wherever he goes.
