Florida State is coming off huge come from behind victory over the then No. 11 ranked Ole Miss Rebels on Monday night.
It’s a quick turnaround for the ‘Noles against one of the better FCS teams out there in Charleston Southern (1-1). They are the defending Big South Conference champions, and are coming off a 57-7 win over Kentucky State in their last outing.
Charleston Southern brings a read option attack on offense, and a good front seven. No disrespect to Charleston Southern, but this will be a good tune up game for the ‘Noles in preparation for their trip to Louisville next week.
That will especially be the case since half of the Charleston Southern team will likely be suspended.
Florida State will be working on their alignments and adjustments in the secondary. Also, they’ll be looking to build depth with lot of the younger players possibly playing significant snaps late.
The biggest thing for the ‘Noles is getting out of this game relatively healthy as they prepare for ACC Conference play.
Look for young players like Brian Burns (DE), Levonta Taylor (DB), and Amir Rasul(RB) to get playing time.
