(STATS) - Saturdays haven't been too kind on the Fordham football team recently.

On Nov. 28, the Rams lost in the FCS playoffs.

A week ago, Joe Moorhead resigned as head coach to become offensive coordinator at Penn State.

Saturday evening, star running back Chase Edmonds announced on social media that he might be leaving the Patriot League program.

"As of right now I am attending Fordham University but after talking with my family I will be exploring my options," Edmond said in a tweet.

The 2014 FCS freshman of the year just completed his sophomore season as a first-team All-American and Patriot League offensive player of the year. In 26 career games, he's totaled 3,486 rushing yards and 4,604 all-purpose yards while scoring 49 touchdowns.

Fordham finished 9-3 this season. On Thursday, the Rams filled their head coaching vacancy by promoting offensive coordinator Andrew Breiner.
