Former Buckeye RB Clarett praises Texas A&M, Sumlin following visit

Former Ohio State Buckeye Maurice Clarett has experienced highs and lows unlike any other player in college football history. From winning a BCS National Championship and setting the Ohio State freshman rushing record, to being dismissed from the team the following summer and failing to gain entry to the NFL following a lawsuit challenging the league's draft rules.

Clarett would finally find his way into the NFL after being drafted in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft, only to be cut prior to the start of the season. Clarett never played in the NFL and eventually found himself in trouble with the law following robbery charges.

Thankfully Clarett has found redemption in the form of public speaking. After his most recent stop in College Station to talk to Kevin Sumlin's Texas A&M Aggies, Clarett had nothing but glowing things to say about the A&M program.

"I would be lying if I told everyone that I've visited a better place than this. First class people and first class facilities," he wrote. "Coach Sumlin is the real deal. No doubt about that. I've been enough places to know who's real and who's not."
