Former Stanford CB Wayne Lyons transfers to Michigan

Wayne Lyons, a former CB for the Stanford Cardinal, has officially transferred to the University of Michigan where he will play for former Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Lyons will be eligible to play in the fall as he is a graduate transfer. The Wolverines currently only have three CBs with any experience, meaning Lyons will likely start for Michigan come September.

"We are excited about the addition of Wayne Lyons as a post-graduate student and defensive back on our football team," U-M secondary coach Michael Zordich said in a statement, according to James Jahnke of the Detroit Free Press. "He brings great experience and ability to our secondary and special teams units. In addition, Wayne is a super individual who will achieve great things both on the field and in his future career."
