Former Texas A&M LB defends program over Allen's criticism

A day after former Texas A&M quarterback Kyle Allen bashed the program over what were perceived as culture problems, former linebacker Sean Porter took to Twitter and demonstrated some other thoughts on the subject.

Porter -- now a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars -- was Johnny Manziel's teammate during the 2012 season. Allen spoke essentially about a lack of discipline within the squad when he was in College Station. Allen also believed some players on the team "weren't all committed and on the same page to get to that goal."

Porter spoke about the inherent advantages that Texas A&M offers -- including top facilities, a renovated stadium, and head coach Kevin Sumlin's recruiting prowess. The former linebacker also seemed to take offense to Allen's assertion over how the team won games.

Suffice it to say Allen's parting comments in the wake of his departure certainly rubbed some individuals the wrong way -- especially those associated with the program.
