Former Texas A&M quarterback Kenny Hill says he's headed to TCU
Kenny Hill, who started his Texas A&M career last season with a record-setting performance at South Carolina, only to lose his starting job weeks later, is transferring to TCU.
He told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on Thursday that he begins classes in two weeks, and that he's already been on campus to watch spring practices and get a jump on learning the Horned Frogs' spread offense.
Hill will have to sit out the 2015 season due to NCAA transfer rules, and will be eligible in 2016 when TCU will be looking for Heisman Trophy candidate Trevone Boykin's replacement.
At A&M, Hill took over for Heisman winner Johnny Manziel and in his first start threw for a school-record 511 yards as the Aggies upset South Carolina.
But Hill eventually lost his job to Kyle Allen later in the season and was then suspended two games for violating team rules.
Hill will have two years of eligibility remaining.
