Four-star safety prospect Troy Warner reaffirms his commitment to play for Cougars

Published Dec. 28, 2015 11:02 a.m. ET

Any coaching change might cause some worry as to which recruits are coming and which recruits are going. Bronco Mendenhall's departure was unexpected, and he had recruited a solid 2016 class that will pave the way for the future.

Troy Warner, hard-hitting four-star safety, was a key cog in that class. And he still is. Warner will still be coming to Provo, and the Cougars hope he will be a fixture in the secondary for the next few years.

Warner is ranked the No. 291 overall prospect in the 2016 recruiting class by Scout, and he's the younger brother of BYU sophomore linebacker Fred Warner.
