FSU football gets huge bounce back win over South Florida after getting behind early.

Well, the beginning of the game looked like a continuation of the Louisville game as South Florida scored on their first offensive play of the game.

Quinton Flowers hit Rodney Adams on an 84 yard bomb to put USF up 7-0. However, the 2015 version of Dalvin Cook showed up and FSU scored on their first offensive possession as Cook went 75 yards for a touchdown.

The FSU defense quickly gave up another score to go up 14-7, but the lead would be their last of the day as Dalvin Cook scored again to even up the game at 14-14.

The ‘Noles scored 28 points in the first quarter and Dalvin Cook had 185 rushing yards at halftime. It was a welcome sight to see the old Dalvin Cook back. The same Cook that torched South Florida for 266 yards last season.

Cook finished the day with 267 yards on 28 carries and two touchdowns.

Key Observations

The Good

    The Bad

FSU football faces a high powered offense next week in UNC. Quite simply, the FSU offense is going to have to outscore its opponents in shootouts the rest of the season.

I’m not quite sure if it’s not time for Charles Kelly to go. It’s absurd that he can’t get players this talented to play at a higher level. There’s no reason for FSU football to give up 35 points against South Florida.
